Pavel Shynkarenko is the Co-Founder and CEO of Solar Staff.
Pavel is an experienced entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in financial and legal technologies, business development, and client-contractor relationship automation. Pavel has pursued his passion for law for over 10 years and founded his first business in the industry in 2006.
As a lawyer, he provided counseling to a number of Ukrainian companies in Kharkov as well as Ambercore Software, an international brand that was opening offices in the country. He was in charge of Internet law, information regulation in the digital space, and measures taken for companies’ rights protection.
In 2007, Pavel founded Seneshal together with a partner who is also the co-founder of Adlabs. In 2011, Pavel and his partner Konstantin Lukinsky founded Seneschal International Consulting Limited in Hong Kong, specializing in tax counseling for CIS companies with internationally located offices.
Pavel and Konstantin helped companies launch businesses abroad two years later, Pavel noticed a growing demand for payment and administrative assistance for businesses working with independent contractors. Pavel saw an opportunity and, in 2014, launched Solar Staff.
The Solar Staff turnover grew from 135,000 USD in 2015 to 9 million USD in 2017. In 2022, Solar Staff launched in the U.S. with over 1,650 clients and more than 700,000 freelancers from 197 countries. Solar Staff currently has a team of 80 people and offices in Limassol, New York and Amsterdam. Pavel is a noted IT expert and a recognized professional in the business process automation, operations, and strategy development spheres.
Pavel’s mission is to increase opportunities for freelancers from developing regions to work with businesses from advanced economies. He also takes part in charity auctions, such as Meet for Charity, and, having lived on five continents, loves exploring cultures around the world. Pavel enjoys art and photography, and his images are being displayed in galleries in Chicago, Hong Kong, San Diego, Vietnam, Barcelona and Melbourne. Pavel is currently taking classes to obtain a certificate as a private pilot.
